Supplier Manager, CIB (12-month Fixed-Term Contract)

LOCATIONS: Bristol / London
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at one of our offices.

About this Opportunity

Our Corporate & Institutional Bank (CIB) is on a growth strategy. We're deepening our relationships with clients, developing new propositions and, in doing so, helping Britain prosper by supporting some of the largest businesses across the UK.

Our Supplier Management team in the CIB Chief Operating Office plays a critical role in the execution of our strategy. We're responsible for the strategic management, facilitation and enablement of third-party suppliers. It is important our suppliers meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and responsibility.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the CIB Supplier Management team, to manage contracts for a portfolio of suppliers. This role works closely with the business and third-party suppliers, to deliver sourcing strategies which get the best outcomes for customers as well as driving effective spend management and optimising commercial and risk outcomes.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end supplier management process across a portfolio of CIB suppliers, including sourcing, onboarding, ongoing management and contract renewal. Working closely with third-party suppliers and colleagues across CIB who utilise those services, you'll help ensure supplier relationships align with agreed frameworks and business risk tolerance. You'll also play a key role in managing supplier-related risk events, while driving effective spend management, strong commercial outcomes and the best results for customers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
