A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our Supplier Quality (SQ) team as a Manufacturing Engineer with deep casting expertise, where you will enhance our technical credibility and process knowledge to support the Blades & Vanes procurement function. Imagine being the primary subject matter expert for casting technologies, providing expert technical support and problem-solving for complex supplier quality issues. You will lead root cause analysis efforts, standardize supplier quality processes, and drive knowledge development initiatives to uplift the team’s overall technical competence. Your contributions will be vital in standardizing supplier quality activities and resolving emerging technical challenges.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • You will act as the primary subject matter expert for casting technologies, providing technical and process support to Supplier Quality PPQ Leads.
  • Lead the root cause analysis and resolution of new and emerging technical, compliance, and quality problems with casting suppliers.
  • Develop and implement standardized PPQ validation benchmarks for casting suppliers across various gas turbine business units.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with key suppliers to enhance casting process stability, quality, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate and lead knowledge development initiatives within the Supplier Quality function to build technical prowess in casting.

What You Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • You have significant professional experience in a manufacturing engineering or supplier quality role with a strong focus on casting processes.
  • You are a recognized subject matter expert, managing large technical projects or processes with limited oversight.
  • Possess certifications such as Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and influencing abilities, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
