Role Overview:
This is an exciting development opportunity for someone looking to build a career in supplier quality, compliance and aerospace.
You don't need to be an expert in aerospace standards or regulations. We are looking for someone with a foundation in quality, compliance, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, MRO or a related environment, combined with the curiosity, attention to detail and enthusiasm to develop their knowledge within a highly regulated industry.
Working alongside experienced quality, engineering and supply chain professionals, you will gain practical experience across supplier quality management, auditing, aerospace regulations, compliance governance, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
You will be supported through training, mentoring and hands-on development as you build your capability and take on increasing responsibility.
As a Supplier Quality & Compliance Coordinator, you will support activities that help ensure supplier performance, regulatory compliance and product quality across the supply chain. This is a broad development role, providing exposure to both supplier quality and compliance activities.
What You Will Learn:
- Develop your knowledge of aerospace quality standards, regulatory requirements, and supplier quality management through hands-on experience and mentoring from experienced team members.
- Build capability in auditing, problem-solving, compliance governance, and supplier performance management while contributing to business-critical activities.
- Develop an understanding of how quality and regulatory requirements are applied across the aerospace supply chain.
- Gain experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve quality and compliance issues.
- Develop your knowledge of continuous improvement, corrective action and risk management methodologies.
What You Will Do:
- Support the deployment of quality, compliance, and safety management strategies, ensuring adherence to regulatory, customer, and business requirements.
- Support supplier, internal, and external audits to maintain relevant approvals, including ISO9001, AS9100, AS9110, AS9120, UK CAA/EASA Part 145, and FAA requirements.
- Support supplier performance management through Supplier Scorecards, Maturity Assessments, and Engagement Plans.
- Assist in flowing down business and customer standards to suppliers, ensuring alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Support new product introduction activities by assessing supplier readiness, product assurance, and compliance with customer specifications.
- Assist with compliance governance activities, including data management, reporting, and tracking the closure of compliance issues.
- Participate in regulatory and customer surveillance visits, supporting the management of findings and implementation of corrective actions.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions using 8D, DAISE, and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Support the review of release documentation, including Form 1 Certificates, Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), and support contract reviews.
- Support the delivery of compliance and quality training and maintain staff competency and training records.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, and Suppliers to resolve quality and compliance issues throughout product development, production, and acceptance phases.
- Monitor and report KPIs, perform trend analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing risk, eliminating waste, and improving operational effectiveness.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
