- £37.50/ hour (Umbrella Inside IR35)
- £27/hour PAYE
Duration:
12 months (likely to extend)
We are actively hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer on behalf of a global automotive company based in Peterlee.
Role Overview
Supplier Quality Engineer sits between Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and suppliers, making sure new and existing components are delivered to the right quality, cost, and timescale.

Requirements
- Strong APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) experience.
- Strong PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) knowledge and application.
- Direct Supplier Quality Engineering experience.
- Experience leading quality and supplier-related projects from initiation through delivery.
- Strong procurement and supplier-management background.
- New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
- Proven experience in supplier selection, development, and quality planning activities.
- Demonstrated product development and proactive quality improvement experience.
- Clear evidence of ownership, progression, and recent responsibilities within a similar role.
- Strong stakeholder management combined with hands-on quality engineering expertise.
