Supplier Quality Engineer
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with an established and innovative engineering business to recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer into their growing Quality team. This role is hybrid.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer or Manufacturing Quality Engineer to take ownership of supplier quality performance and play a key role in improving quality, reducing risk and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading supplier approval, onboarding and ongoing performance management
- Developing strong supplier relationships and driving accountability through performance reviews and improvement plans
- Managing supplier non-conformances and corrective action processes
- Leading root cause investigations and ensuring corrective actions are effective
- Conducting supplier audits and assessments
- Supporting supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Analysing supplier and quality data to identify trends, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement
- Supporting investigations relating to customer returns and product quality issues
- Supporting internal and external audits, concessions, deviations and quality documentation
- Assisting with PPAP, FAI and other product and process validation activities
- Supporting a risk-based approach to supplier classification, monitoring and audit planning
- Working closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams
- Contributing to wider continuous improvement initiatives across the business

Requirements
We are looking for an experienced quality professional who enjoys getting to the root cause of problems and working collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver lasting improvements.

You will ideally have:
- Experience within a Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Quality role
- Experience managing supplier quality issues, audits and performance improvement
- Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
- Knowledge of ISO 9001
- Experience analysing quality data and identifying trends
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- The confidence to challenge suppliers and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions
- A proactive, organised and analytical approach
- Experience working cross-functionally across Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations
