Owen Daniels are working with a highly successful global manufacturing organisation that is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join its team.
This is a great opportunity whether you’re already an experienced SQE or you’re a Quality Engineer with a few years under your belt who’s ready to take the next step and develop your career further. The business operates within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, so you’ll be working with technically complex products, demanding quality standards and a supply chain where getting things right really matters.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be the link between the business and its suppliers, helping to make sure quality standards are consistently met and driving improvements where they’re needed. Your role will include:
- Managing and improving supplier quality performance
- Working with suppliers to investigate quality issues and implement effective corrective actions
- Supporting supplier audits and development activities
- Carrying out root cause analysis and driving 8D / problem-solving activity
- Monitoring supplier performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement and quality teams
- Helping introduce and maintain robust quality standards across the supply base

What background are we looking for?
We’re not looking for someone who has followed one very specific career path. You might already be a Supplier Quality Engineer and be looking for your next challenge. Alternatively, you could be a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or similar, with some experience working with suppliers, audits, non-conformance or continuous improvement, and be ready to move into a dedicated supplier quality position.
Your experience could come from a range of regulated or highly controlled manufacturing environments, including aerospace, automotive, defence, rail, energy or other advanced engineering sectors.
