Supplier Quality Assurance Team Lead | £55,000–£60,000 + bonus
If you’ve spent years fixing supplier problems but never had the authority to change how they’re managed, this role might interest you.
A medical device manufacturer is growing its Supplier Quality team. They need someone who can cover three main areas from them: lead people, get close to the engineering detail and improve supplier performance where it actually affects production.
This isn’t a role where you're simply reviewing dashboards. Instead, you’ll use inspection data to spot patterns, decide where incoming checks are needed and work with suppliers to stop the same defects coming back. When a corrective action looks good on paper but doesn’t solve the problem, you’ll be the person who challenges it.

You’ll also plan supplier audits, support new product introductions and work closely with Quality Control and Operations when supplier issues threaten production. Alongside that, you’ll give the team clear direction and help them develop.
The company have grown quickly, so you are walking into a busy environment. There are existing systems in place, but there’s also room to improve how suppliers are managed.

What they need to see:
- A strong Supplier Quality Engineering background in Medical Device manufacturing
- Experience improving supplier performance, not just reporting on it
- Confidence conducting supplier audits and challenging root cause and corrective actions
- Experience leading or developing someone, whether as a manager or team lead
- The ability to work across Quality, Supply Chain and Operations without losing sight of the technical detail

Medical device and ISO 13485 experience is a nice to have.
