About the Role
When the products your suppliers make end up inside pharmaceutical cleanrooms, medical device manufacturing suites, and aerospace environments, quality isn't a process, it's a responsibility. An established, growing manufacturer serving highly regulated industries across the UK and internationally is seeking a Supplier Quality Officer to join their QSHE team.
Responsibilities
- Own the supplier approval process from initial assessment through to ongoing performance management, ensuring compliance across a multi-standard IMS that includes ISO 9001, ISO 13485, BS EN 14065, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001.
- Plan, schedule and execute external supplier audits, including international travel, writing up reports, raising non-conformances, and driving corrective actions through to closure.
- Work closely with Procurement during supplier selection: assessing risk, reviewing technical specifications, and making sure the right documentation is in place before anything is approved to supply.
- Monitor supplier KPIs and manage CAPAs, escalating poor performance and leading continuous improvement across the supply base.
- Conduct internal audits to proactively surface quality gaps and assess the effectiveness of existing controls.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
