Supplier Relationship and Contract Manager

Permanent

Hybrid (Theale office/Home)

We are looking for someone experienced to take ownership of key strategic supplier relationships within Operations team. This hands-on role is focused on supplier performance, contract governance, and commercial management. You will ensure suppliers consistently deliver against their contractual commitments, KPIs, and service levels, balancing operational outcomes, cost efficiency, and long-term value while prioritizing health and safety across all engagements.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own supplier relationships, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Lead supplier governance forums, performance reviews and escalations.
  • Monitor KPIs, SLAs and contractual obligations, driving corrective and continuous improvement actions.
  • Review and challenge supplier forecasts, valuations, invoices and claims.
  • Ensure appropriate commercial controls, cost management and budget governance are in place.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
  • Manage contractual issues, disputes, variations and renewals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, value and contract performance.
  • Work closely with Operations, Finance, Commercial and Procurement teams.
  • Ensure suppliers meet contractual, regulatory, governance and health & safety requirements.
  • Provide clear reporting and commercial insight to senior stakeholders.

  • Strong experience in supplier and contract management.
  • Proven experience managing strategic supplier relationships and performance against contracts/KPIs.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including cost control and budget management.
  • Experience reviewing supplier costs, invoices, valuations or claims.
  • Experience identifying and delivering cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
  • Confident using Excel and data analysis on supplier performance/financial data.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong governance, reporting and analytical capability.
