What the opportunity looks like
The Supply and Network Planner is responsible for leading the 4 week plus supply planning horizon, with primary focus on Finished Goods availability, inventory performance and clear, action-led planning decisions. The role works closely with Demand, Customer Operations, NPI and wider Supply Chain teams to protect stock availability, make inventory risks visible and ensure production plans are aligned to business priorities. The role leads inventory risk analysis, Supply Review preparation, agency planning management and SO99 planning governance, ensuring risks, constraints, planning parameters and recommendations are clearly understood and progressed through the appropriate action owners. The role also implements and leads improved planning processes and ways of working, including RIRO and Finished Goods status management, where these strengthen inventory control, availability and decision making. While Network Planning is not a core current responsibility, the role will lead the development of future network planning capability as business processes, systems and operating models mature.

- Translate demand, production and inventory data into clear planning recommendations for the SMS Planning Manager and Supply Review.
- Lead capacity analysis and provide recommendations on shifts, lines and pre-build requirements to protect OTIF and inventory targets.
- Partner with the Master Production Scheduler to ensure medium-term supply plans translate into executable schedules and maintained availability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
