Supply Chain Co-ordinator

Location: Gateshead Team Valley, UK

Reports to: Customer Logistics Lead X-Sell

Direct Reports: None

Located in Gateshead, our production facility operates three lines, with an annual output exceeding 4,300 tonnes annually in plain, chocolate, and sandwich biscuit formats. We are part of Biscuit International, Europe’s leading private label biscuit and bread substitute manufacturer, with a rich heritage of over 400 years of expertise in delivering excellent taste at great value.

We’re seeking a Supply Chain Co-ordinator X-Sell to join our Customer Service team in Gateshead and support the delivery of high-quality service to our customers across domestic and export markets.

Reporting to the Customer Logistics Lead X-Sell, this role is responsible for order processing, invoicing, orderbook management, and coordination across the order-to-cash process, ensuring orders are delivered accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service, responding to enquiries and proactively managing deliveries and issues
  • Process and despatch customer orders via multiple 3PL routes
  • Manage effective orderbook control, identifying risks to service and OTIF performance
  • Complete shipments and invoicing within 24 hours of despatch
  • Raise and track replenishment stock orders, transfers, and bookings
  • Liaise with BI Group colleagues, hauliers, and 3PL partners
  • Proactively communicate issues or delays to customers in advance
  • Prepare, file, and maintain customs and export documentation in readiness for audits
  • Reconcile Chep pallets and support resolution of finance queries
  • Assist with derogations for stock below MLOR
  • Maintain accurate supply chain documentation
  • Support onboarding of new customers, ensuring pricing and customs requirements are correctly captured
  • Work closely with Sales, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in a customer-focused or supply chain environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines
  • High levels of accuracy, diligence, and attention to detail
  • ERP experience (preferably SAP)
  • Import/export knowledge or experience is desirable
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Excel at intermediate to advanced level
