Supply Chain Analyst

South East England | Inside IR35

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Analyst to join a growing Data & Analytics function on an initial contract basis. You will work on high-impact projects across supply chain and logistics, using advanced analytics to solve operational challenges and drive improvements in stock visibility, availability, and performance.

The Role and Deliverables

  • Analyse large and complex supply chain and logistics datasets to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with operational stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate requirements into analytical solutions.
  • Use SQL and cloud-based data tools to investigate stock visibility, stock health, availability, and logistics performance.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations that support operational and commercial decision-making.
  • Take ownership of analytics projects from requirements gathering through to insight delivery and stakeholder presentation.
  • Support a range of supply chain and logistics initiatives within a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to write, optimise, and develop complex queries independently.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and uncovering meaningful insights.
  • Exposure to Databricks and modern data platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a curious, investigative approach.
  • Experience managing stakeholders and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
  • Experience analysing supply chain, logistics, inventory, stock, or operational datasets.
  • Experience within retail or similar operationally focused environments is highly desirable.
  • Python experience would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering insights and business impact, rather than solely producing reports or dashboards.
