Supply Chain Analyst – Hawick

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join our team in Hawick, supporting the sourcing, purchasing and supply of yarn, raw materials and other direct materials.
This is a varied, commercially focused role combining supplier management, purchasing, inventory, data analysis and supply chain planning. You will work closely with suppliers, production, product development, quality and supply chain colleagues to ensure materials and products are available when required and risks are identified and managed proactively.
It's an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain who enjoys working with data, building strong supplier relationships and finding ways to improve how things are done.

Based in the Scottish border’s town of Hawick; we boast over one hundred years of proud heritage and history. We supply to some of the most prestigious luxury fashion houses across the world. What will you be doing?
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for yarns and selected raw materials, including raising and managing purchase orders.
- Monitor supplier performance, lead times and delivery commitments, proactively identifying and escalating risks.
- Build strong supplier relationships that encourage collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support sourcing and cost analysis to ensure competitive pricing and continuity of supply.
- Coordinate material and product requirements with ODM suppliers in line with seasonal development and production plans.
- Monitor critical-path activities and milestones to support successful product launches and on-time delivery.
- Manage production and sample yarn inventory, monitoring stock levels and consumption to identify shortages or excess.
- Ensure materials are available to support subcontractor and ODM production requirements.
- Maintain accurate supplier and material information, documentation, certifications and compliance records within business systems.
- Produce and analyse reports covering purchasing activity, supplier performance, inventory and supply risks.
- Work collaboratively with product development, quality, production and supply chain teams to resolve issues and improve service.
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, sustainability, processes and supplier performance.

What will you bring to the role?
Experience
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with suppliers and managing purchase orders.
- Knowledge of inventory management and supplier performance.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups and pivot tables.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and reporting tools is desirable.
- Experience working with ODM suppliers, product development or outsourced manufacturing would be advantageous.
