Job Description

Due to continued growth our friendly team in St Helens have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain & Production Planner to join their team on a 12 month fixed term basis!

As a Supply Chain Planner you will be responsible for joining up and delivering the weekly production plan. Ensuring that packaging and raw material is available in good time to meet production whilst delivering finished goods in line with demand.

  • Salary: £32,000-£36,000 per annum.
  • Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.

Key Duties of a Supply Chain & Production Planner:

  • Ownership of the daily/weekly/Monthly production plans.
  • Responsible for maximising production runs and looking to minimize changeovers.
  • Identifying capacity bottlenecks and initiating plans to rectify them.
  • Create and provide Labour and Capacity plans.
  • Ensure Stocks levels are managed in accordance with agreed limits.
  • Review Daily produce production plan and communicate accordingly to production and supply.
  • Support Production in the use of Vision where applicable.
  • To monitor and order, via MRP, the stock of ingredients and packaging so that production may efficiently achieve Customer requirements.
  • Expediting or delaying orders as required.
  • Coordinate all departments to ensure new projects / SKUs launch successfully.
  • Communicate with Customers to advise any issues and manage their expectations accordingly.
  • Maintain good records and procedures for the management of procurement and purchasing.
  • Perform stock reconciliations and stock balances, reporting results internally and to customers.
  • Escalate repeat non-conformance from suppliers to customer management.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced customer driven environment.
  • Previous knowledge in running/actioning MRP, planning, logistics and production supply.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Good attitude towards team work and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent attitude towards providing customer service standards.
