Supply Chain Assistant
As the Supply Chain Assistant at Dover Precision Components in Glasgow, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the supply chain team by coordinating procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier activities.
This role ensures accurate documentation, timely order processing, and effective communication between internal departments and external vendors to maintain an efficient supply chain for the end-to-end manufacturing of engineered mechanical components including fluid-film bearings and seals that have applications in turbomachinery and rotating equipment.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, or related subject.
- Ideally, CIPS level 3 or higher
- 2+ years of full-time, post graduate related work experience, ideally within a supply chain related area of manufacturing
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
What You’ll Do:
- Provide administrative support to the supply chain and procurement teams
- Creating job packs and issue to relevant departments
- Completing Jobs for Shipping purposes on Syteline ERP system
- Maintain accurate inventory, supplier, and procurement records
- Support supplier onboarding and maintain vendor documentation
- Process purchase orders and track order status from placement to delivery
- Coordinate with suppliers, warehouses, and logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries
- Printing & Filing drawings and documentation
- Prepare and maintain reports on purchasing, inventory, and supply chain performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures
- Maintain filing systems and documentation for audits and compliance

Communication & Collaboration:
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Buyers, Planners and Team Leaders
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Support cross-functional projects and business improvement activities
