Company Overview

Through our specialist divisions - topside, marine, subsea, cables, logistics, and industrials, we are a pivotal link in the global offshore energy project chain, ensuring our customers’ projects are delivered safely, reliably, and efficiently. We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our Subsea Division.

Core Purpose

Coordinating the movement of materials, equipment, and shipments to support business operations. Ensure that goods are transported safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation. Work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and freight providers, playing a vital role in maintaining supply chain continuity and delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments to meet operational and project deadlines.
  • Arrange transport with approved freight providers.
  • Monitor shipments from collection through to final delivery, providing updates to stakeholders where required.
  • Resolve transportation issues and delays in a timely manner.
  • Prioritise logistics activities to support changing operational requirements.

Shipping and Export Documentation

  • Prepare and review shipping documentation, including Commercial Invoice Packing List (CIPL), Manifests, Air Waybills (AWB), Bills of Lading (BOL), Dangerous Goods documentation (where applicable), and Certificates of Origin.
  • Ensure documentation complies with customer, customs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support temporary exports and imports, including FAL02 and ATA Carnets where required.

Customs and Compliance

  • Ensure shipments comply with UK and international customs regulations.
  • Understand OGEL/OIEL/SIEL.
  • Assist with export control compliance, including dual-use equipment where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate shipping and customs records.
  • Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
  • Escalate any compliance concerns to the Supervisor or Manager.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in logistics, international freight forwarding, shipping, or supply chain.
  • Understanding of transport and shipping processes.
  • Experience coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of import/export documentation.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms.
  • Familiarity with customs procedures and export controls.
  • Dangerous Goods awareness (ADR, IMDG, IATA).

  • Experience within offshore energy, subsea, engineering, or oil and gas sectors.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with sound decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective time management with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business priorities.
  • Proactive approach to continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to enhance processes and ways of working.

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • CILT qualification or similar.
  • Dangerous Goods packing.
