About the Role
This is a varied and integral role within our Supply Chain team, offering exposure across inventory management, logistics, material planning and customer service.
You will take ownership of inventory reporting and at-risk stock management, working closely with key stakeholders to identify risks and implement effective action plans. You will also manage relationships with our logistics partners and provide operational support across Material Scheduling and Customer Service when required.
Through effective analysis, reporting and cost monitoring, you will play an important role in reducing waste, managing stock risk, controlling costs and improving service levels.

Key Responsibilities
- Producing and analysing monthly inventory reports across multiple sites, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Monitoring and managing at-risk and excess stock, working with Commercial and NPD teams to develop and deliver appropriate action plans.
- Presenting inventory analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders and Group functions.
- Working directly with customers and third parties to reduce inventory exposure, minimise waste and maximise stock recovery opportunities.
- Managing relationships with charitable organisations, third-party partners, hauliers, 3PL providers and CHEP.
- Supporting annual transport contract negotiations and service level agreements, helping to ensure the right balance between cost and service.
- Monitoring haulage costs, fuel surcharges, emergency transport spend and depot charges, identifying opportunities for cost control and recovery of logistics credits.
- Reviewing and approving logistics-related invoices, ensuring accuracy and effective cost management.
- Providing support and cover for ingredient and packaging planning during periods of absence or increased demand.
- Developing and maintaining material schedules in line with production requirements, working closely with suppliers, Procurement, Production and Logistics to ensure material availability.
- Proactively resolving supply issues and coordinating inbound deliveries to support operational requirements.
- Providing operational support and cover for Customer Services when required.
- Processing customer orders received through EDI and email, validating stock availability and ensuring accurate and timely order fulfilment.
- Liaising directly with customers regarding order amendments, stock availability and delivery requirements.
- Coordinating transport bookings through approved logistics providers to support timely and efficient customer deliveries.

Requirements
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and respond effectively to changing business needs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also collaborating effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, with the ability to analyse data and present information clearly and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, suppliers, logistics partners and colleagues.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with a willingness to support across different areas of the Supply Chain function in line with business requirements.
