Conquip Engineering Group - Supply Chain Coordinator
Conquip Engineering Group is seeking a confident, organised and commercially aware Supply Chain Coordinator to join our expanding team based in Alton.
This is a busy, hands-on role at the heart of our supply chain operation. You will coordinate overseas suppliers, inbound shipments, stock, logistics providers and internal teams to ensure materials arrive on time and in the right place. If you enjoy managing multiple priorities, pro-actively resolving problems before they escalate, and taking full ownership of processes from start to finish, this role could be an excellent fit.
Location: Alton, Hampshire, GU34
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:00
Salary: £35,000 – £37,000
Reports to: Supply Chain Director
Start date: Immediate interviews ongoing

The Role
As Supply Chain Coordinator, you will oversee the end-to-end movement of goods from suppliers into the business, acting as a vital link between overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, warehouses and internal teams. You will ensure orders progress smoothly, maintain accurate stock and supply chain records, identify potential delays early, and keep all stakeholders fully informed.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Managing communication with overseas suppliers and coordinating inbound shipments
- Handling import, customs and clearance documentation
- Tracking orders, forecasting arrival dates and chasing delayed shipments
- Maintaining stock records and performing stock reconciliations
- Coordinating warehouse deliveries and resolving receiving issues
- Supporting the setup and ongoing management of the Eco Hub product
- Producing regular supply chain updates covering orders, stock levels, deliveries and supplier performance
- Completing weekly expenditure forecasts
- Providing competitive sales pricing for parts and road plates
- Setting up new suppliers and managing supplier documentation and credit forms
- Managing and resolving invoice queries
- Supporting month-end product and stock costing activities

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an individual who is organised, accurate and confident in taking ownership of their work. You will need to communicate effectively with suppliers and colleagues at all levels, remaining calm and adaptable when priorities shift. Strong candidates will demonstrate excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills, commercial awareness, proficiency in Microsoft Office/365, and keen attention to detail. Previous experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, logistics, imports, freight forwarding or stock control is highly desirable. Most importantly, you will be proactive, reliable and comfortable working at pace within a growing business where no two days are the same.
