Role Description

The Supply Chain Director role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ipswich. The individual in this role will oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including production planning, procurement, inventory management, and logistics, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing supply chain strategies, monitoring performance metrics, optimising processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and leading cross-functional teams to improve service levels. The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to secure capacity, support fulfilment growth, and mitigate risks across the supply chain. The Supply Chain Director will also be accountable for continuous improvement initiatives, compliance with relevant regulations, and driving data-informed decision-making across the function.

  • Candidates should possess strong Supply Chain Management and Supply Chain Operations skills, with experience leading end-to-end supply chain functions.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in Production Planning and Procurement to manage demand, capacity, sourcing, and inventory effectively.
  • Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret data, develop insights, and support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Proven experience in logistics, warehousing, or 3PL environments, ideally at a senior leadership level.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse teams, drive change, and manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on commercial impact and customer service.
  • Relevant degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CIPS) are beneficial.
  • Experience working within or alongside blue-chip organisations, global brands, or large 3PL providers is an advantage.
