About The Role
The Supply Chain Excellence Lead is responsible for driving the governance, coordination, and execution of AAK's global supply chain excellence and transformation agenda. The role ensures that strategic priorities are translated into actionable roadmaps, effective governance, measurable objectives, and sustainable organizational change that delivers business value. Acting as the primary facilitator of the Supply Chain Leadership Team (SCLT), the role enables alignment across regions, functions, and leadership teams by coordinating strategic initiatives, supporting decision-making, tracking commitments, and ensuring consistent execution of the global supply chain agenda. It serves as the critical link between strategy and execution, fostering accountability, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and capability development across the global supply chain organization.
Working in a highly matrixed global environment, the Supply Chain Excellence Lead partners with senior leaders and stakeholders across Commercial, CD&I, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, regional Supply Chain teams, functional discipline leads, and other corporate functions. The role also represents Supply Chain in cross-functional transformation programs and strategic projects, requiring confident participation in multidisciplinary discussions and the ability to build alignment without direct authority. Success in this position depends on strong influencing, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, combined with the ability to navigate ambiguity, drive organizational alignment, and coordinate initiatives across multiple functions, regions, and time zones. The role regularly prepares and presents executive-level materials, translating complex transformation activities into clear, concise, and decision-ready insights that support effective leadership decisions. This is a strategic, non-operational role focused on enabling organizational performance through governance, continuous improvement, communication, and change management rather than day-to-day supply chain execution. There are no direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Manage the operating rhythm of the Supply Chain Leadership Team (SCLT), including agendas, meeting preparation, governance routines, decision logs, action tracking, and follow-up activities.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives by establishing clear ownership, governance, milestones, performance measures, and execution roadmaps.
- Facilitate alignment between global supply chain strategy and regional execution, ensuring consistent prioritization, collaboration, and accountability across functions and geographies.
- Coordinate the global portfolio of Supply Chain transformation initiatives, monitoring progress, managing interdependencies, identifying risks, and escalating issues to support timely decision-making and successful delivery.
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks, project standards, reporting structures, dashboards, and performance metrics that provide leadership with clear visibility into transformation progress and business outcomes.
- Support initiative sponsors and leadership teams throughout the planning, execution, and benefit realization phases of strategic initiatives.
- Develop and implement change management strategies that enable successful adoption of new processes, systems, operating models, and ways of working across the global Supply Chain organization.
- Lead stakeholder engagement and communication activities, including change impact assessments, readiness planning, communication campaigns, and adoption measurement.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and organizational learning by facilitating Communities of Practice, cross-functional knowledge sharing, and best practice exchange across regions and disciplines.
- Support the development and maturity of the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence through capability-building initiatives, competency development, training programs, workshops, and leadership events.
- Drive the adoption of Supply Chain methodologies, governance practices, digital capabilities, and continuous improvement principles to strengthen organizational effectiveness.
- Prepare executive-level reporting, strategy updates, annual planning materials, and governance presentations, translating complex information into concise, actionable insights that support informed decision-making.
- Ensure consistent communication of strategic priorities, progress, decisions, achievements, and key messages across the global Supply Chain organization.

About You
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Business Transformation, Program or Project Management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, operating models, and continuous improvement principles.
- Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating cross-functional initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Knowledge of project, program, and portfolio management methodologies.
- Experience supporting organizational transformation and applying structured change management approaches.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proven ability to influence, build alignment, and collaborate effectively without direct authority.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic global environment.
- Experience working effectively across regions, cultures, and organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with experience using Tableau or other business intelligence and collaboration tools.
- Experience with SAP, SAP IBP, or comparable enterprise planning systems is an advantage.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
