About the Role

Home Care is a $12B Business Group, including some of our most iconic brands (OMO, Persil, Surf, Comfort, Domestos, Sunlight). The HC Supply Chain is complex and fast-paced, with single point representation, unlocking speed and agility.

The Supply Chain Innovation Planning Director manages the critical interface between the SC and the Category Brand teams to ensure that conceptual Innovation is developed considering the strategic goals of both the Business Teams and the SC. The role also leads the SC work stream in innovations and ensures stage-gate OTIF for its work stream.

This role requires extensive knowledge of the supply chain configuration, Functional Excellence in Project Management, and good knowledge of product design and manufacturing processes in the respective categories.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Who You Are & What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the SC work stream for innovation projects as per guidelines and framework.
  • Represent and be the voice of SC in cross-functional forums on innovations.
  • Provide SC inputs into project networks and be accountable for ensuring stage-gate OTIF on SC work stream.
  • Manage interfaces within SC i.e., Quality, Procurement, Planning, Logistic, Engineering, etc. for innovation projects.
  • Ensure robust SC handshake with Business Units teams on innovation projects at the appropriate gate.
  • Lead program management and/or specific activities in category for delivering margin accretion via innovation portfolio.
  • Support portfolio management with functional partners in R&D and Category Finance.

Challenges:

  • Managing the interface between Development, Brand, Finance and SC at global level and with Business Units.
  • Coordination of numerous innovation activities within and across Business teams. Managing conflicting priorities.
  • Managing a high rate of innovation, number of SKU’s and complexity.
  • Plan the execution of projects within cost, scope, time and performance parameters.
