Job Overview
Cast UK are currently recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain & Inventory Manager to join a world leading business in the Stockport area.
This is an important leadership position responsible for materials management and inventory control, material forecasting and oversight of the warehouse and shipping function. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving supply chain processes whilst also optimising stock holding.
The role is Monday to Friday and has a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office, 2 from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing inventory levels, provisioning and the physical flow of materials through the warehouse, shipping and despatch functions.
- Improving supply chain and inventory processes, including ERP/SAP functionality.
- Optimise stock holding, reducing inventory costs where applicable.
- Creating and maintaining SAP master data and producing SAP reports through accurate forecasting.
- Leading and motivating a team across supply chain and warehouse operations.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
- Directing and optimising the full order cycle.
- Utilisation of existing and independent freight forwarders.

Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working in a Materials Management/ Inventory Management role is essential, ideally within a Manufacturing environment.
- Excellent inventory planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing and motivating teams.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP experience highly desirable) and Advanced Microsoft Excel understanding and forecasting tools.
- Strong reporting skills, preparing reports and MI to leadership.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
