Supply Chain Manager
£55,000–£65,000 per annum with benefits
Worcester
Site-based with travel required
Permanent, Full-time
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Strategic Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to lead sourcing and end-to-end supply chain operations for an established capital equipment manufacturing business.
You’ll be responsible for integrating planning, procurement, inventory, manufacturing and logistics, ensuring high service levels, cost efficiency and a resilient supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies across capital equipment categories.
- Lead RFQs, negotiations, supplier selection and contract management.
- Manage end-to-end planning, forecasting and S&OP activity.
- Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships and performance.
- Optimise inventory, logistics and customer fulfilment to improve OTIF.
- Support CapEx projects with procurement, budgeting and supplier expertise.
- Deliver cost savings, cost avoidance and total cost of ownership improvements.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain, capacity and compliance risks.
- Drive Lean, continuous improvement and procurement process improvements.
- Use data and digital tools to improve supply chain visibility and performance.
- Lead, coach and develop the procurement/supply chain team.

About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Extensive procurement/sourcing experience, ideally within capital equipment or CapEx projects.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining, moulding and surface treatment.
- Excellent commercial, negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Experience managing strategic sourcing projects and supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of Lean and continuous improvement.
- Excellent analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing and developing teams.
- A degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related discipline is desirable.
- CIPS/CPSM or similar professional qualification would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of GD&T, metrology and testing equipment would be beneficial.
