Kepak Meat Processing Facility

Kepak is a global food company serving international retailers and food service household names with prime cuts of meat, on-trend food concepts and ready-for-market convenience foods.

Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

We are excited to be recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager to work on our busy Merthyr Tydfil site. This is a permanent, full-time position which has occasional travel requirements and a competitive salary.

Job Purpose

To manage supply chain operations for the retail business unit, ensuring accurate forecast reporting and aggregation, end-to-end production planning, materials planning, inventory management, and achievement of customer service levels in accordance with customer and business requirements.

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversees materials supplier day-to-day relationships in conjunction with group purchasing
  • Executes divisional supply chain strategy within the retail business unit and contributes to continuous improvement, waste reduction, and sustainability goals
  • Responsible for the health, safety, wellbeing, and development of the supply chain team in line with the group people strategy

Role Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in retail supply chain management within the meat, food, or FMCG industry
  • Strong planning, forecasting, and inventory management skills
  • Familiarity with supply chain systems and reporting tools
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
