Supply Chain Manager

We're delighted to be partnering with our client to hire a Supply Chain Manager to take responsibility for the commercial management, development and performance of their growing subcontracted supply chain of suppliers.

This is a new role created to bring dedicated ownership, structure and commercial discipline to supplier relationships, ensuring our client has a reliable, competitive and compliant supply chain capable of supporting growth, customer service and national service delivery.

The post holder will act as the single point of accountability for supplier commercial relationships, taking responsibility for pricing, performance, contract terms, supplier engagement, compliance information and the ongoing development of supplier capability across the UK.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, supplier management or commercial relationship management.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience negotiating pricing, service terms and supplier agreements.
  • Experience managing a sizeable supplier base, subcontractor network or third-party service provider portfolio.
  • Ability to manage supplier performance, resolve issues and drive improvement through structured review and follow-up.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to be collaborative, firm and commercially credible.
  • Strong analytical ability and confidence working with pricing, cost data, supplier records and performance information.
