The Opportunity

The role of a Supply Chain Manager – Facilities Management will be part of the Procurement and Supplier Management team, who are responsible for oversight of suppliers of both IT and non-IT goods and services. The role will report to the Senior Supply Chain Manager and will be predominantly responsible for leading strategic procurement projects across a variety of categories, predominately Facilities Management (Hard and Soft FM, and FM related ESG services).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing and category strategies for key spend areas, working collaboratively with business stakeholders to deliver a combination of quick wins and longer-term strategic reviews and initiatives
  • Be responsible for working closely with assigned UK departments to define requirements, assist with identifying vendors, lead RFX process and evaluations, negotiations, etc.
  • Provide market insights into the sourcing process on projects within categories of expertise
  • Perform due diligence reviews to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements
  • Negotiating with external service providers/suppliers to deliver best service and a value proposition
  • Recording of supply agreements on the Handelsbanken global contracts database
  • Provide training, as appropriate, to partnered customer functions on Procurement & Supplier Management framework, policies, standards, processes, procedures, and alignment with Global procurement processes
  • Keeping up to date with procurement industry changes
  • Assisting Legal Counsel in negotiating terms of services/supply agreement
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings/process improvements across the bank
  • Report on third-party risk and where necessary, challenge operational requirements and supplier spend
  • Actively manage and monitor adherence to procurement & supplier management process, governance, and policy
  • Drive continuous improvement in the service provided to the Business and generate ideas and initiatives to stimulate an ongoing pipeline of enhancements
  • Conduct third-party reviews on selected third parties to ensure business relationships are fostered and maintained
  • Managing supplier relationships and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). Produce and deliver reports to senior management to track productivity, quality, and efficiency of third-party relationships
  • Operate in line with the Bank's Risk Management framework (including sub-frameworks) and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation of any concerns to their line manager

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive procurement, strategic sourcing, and supplier management experience with particular expertise within facilities management and corporate travel
  • Understanding of good FM and business outsourcing disciplines
  • Proven track record of delivering sustainable cost savings, performance efficiencies, and risk mitigation within the procurement lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of procurement & supplier management best practice tools, processes, and systems.
  • Experienced in change management
  • Ability to make sound commercial judgments
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with experience presenting at C-Level
  • Ability to understand complex problems and focus on the critical issues, providing solution recommendations
  • Experience in collating and analyzing data
  • Being a self-starter with the ability and willingness to work on own initiative and learn is essential.

Desirable

  • Be educated to a degree level, have CIPS related qualification, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of FM Procurement experience
  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end Third Party lifecycle within financial services and FCA, PRA & EBA regulations/guidelines on outsourcing
