This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded Supply Chain professional to take ownership of a critical function within a high-profile national operation. Working at the heart of the supply chain, you'll play a key role in ensuring products, inventory and supplier performance support seamless service delivery across a complex and fast-paced network.

As the main link between DHL operations and external supply partners, you'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership to drive continuous improvement, solve operational challenges and deliver real value to the business. If you thrive on building relationships, analysing performance data and making things happen, this is a role where you can make a genuine impact.

A Typical Day May Involve

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the supply chain function, ensuring inventory, ordering and replenishment processes support operational performance across the network.
  • Act as the primary relationship manager for external suppliers, driving service excellence, performance improvements and effective issue resolution.
  • Monitor inventory levels, product availability and supply chain performance, using data and insight to support operational decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, risks and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Take ownership of supply chain escalations, coordinating corrective actions and service recovery plans to minimise operational disruption.
  • Travel across the UK network to support sites, engage with stakeholders and ensure supply chain processes are delivering consistent results.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
