Supply Chain Manager

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise our assessor and surveyor supply network. This is a key role responsible for ensuring we have the right resources, in the right locations, at the right time to deliver excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Management: Manage the full supply chain lifecycle, from sourcing and onboarding assessors and surveyors through to capacity planning, supplier performance management, service delivery, SLA achievement, and quality control.
  • Operational Efficiency: Play a critical role in improving operational efficiency, controlling costs, managing supply chain risks, and ensuring the supply strategy supports business growth and customer commitments.
  • Capacity Management: Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring current and future resource requirements are identified and effectively managed.
  • Relationship Management: Manage relationships with assessors, surveyors, agencies, and other supply partners to ensure agreed costs, service levels, and quality standards are achieved.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance, address issues relating to delays, capacity challenges, service quality, or commercial performance, and take appropriate corrective action where required.
  • Resource Deployment: Optimise resource deployment by considering availability, location, capability, travel requirements, and commercial impact.
  • Cost Optimisation: Identify and deliver cost optimisation opportunities across the supply chain, including supplier cost management, improved route planning, reducing waste, and monitoring the effectiveness of cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality.
  • Demand Forecasting: Use historical performance data, project pipeline information, and operational trends to produce accurate demand forecasts.
  • Technology Integration: Identify opportunities to introduce technology that improves supply chain visibility, reporting, planning, and service delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage supply chain risks, including supplier failure, resource shortages, service delays, and external factors that may impact delivery.
  • Compliance: Ensure all supply chain activity complies with relevant regulatory, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain strong SLA performance.
  • Ensure sufficient assessor and surveyor capacity.
  • Improve supplier performance.
  • Deliver cost efficiencies.
  • Provide accurate reporting on supply chain performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Review operational performance data, identify trends, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Operations, and Senior Leadership.

Skills And Experience Required

  • Experience in supply chain management, resource planning, procurement, supplier management, or operational delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and produce accurate forecasts.
  • Experience managing external suppliers, contractors, or service providers.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, commercial awareness, and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver measurable results.
  • Experience managing field-based resources, assessors, surveyors, or national service networks is advantageous.
  • Experience supporting contract mobilisation and operational transformation projects is advantageous.
