Supply Chain Manager - FMCG

Salary

£50,000 - £55,000

Loom Talent are working exclusively with a growing FMCG / Retail business to appoint a Supply Chain Manager - FMCG into a highly visible role within the organisation.

This is a broad, hands-on supply chain position covering planning, purchasing, inventory, imports, logistics, warehousing and customer fulfilment. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in improving product availability, service levels and supply chain performance.

The Role

As Supply Chain Manager - FMCG you'll take ownership of the end-to-end supply chain, balancing customer demand, stock availability and working capital while ensuring products move efficiently from international suppliers through to customers.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Demand, supply and inventory planning across multiple product ranges and channels
  • Managing stock availability, stock turns, excess inventory and supply risks
  • Supplier management, purchasing and expediting
  • International logistics, freight, imports, customs and landed costs
  • Managing third-party warehouses and logistics partners
  • Driving strong OTIF and customer fulfilment performance across B2B and B2C
  • Supporting new product introductions and product transitions
  • Analysing supply chain data, KPIs and performance to identify improvements
  • Developing and improving processes, systems and reporting
  • Leading and developing a small supply chain team
  • Working closely with Sales, Finance, Operations and senior leadership

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail, solving problems and taking ownership rather than simply managing from a distance.

About You

We're looking for an experienced supply chain professional with:

  • 5-8 years' experience across supply chain, planning, imports and/or S&OP
  • Strong experience across inventory, purchasing and international logistics
  • Experience supplying or fulfilling orders for major retailers
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • Experience working across B2B and multi-channel environments
  • Good understanding of import processes, duties and international freight
  • Experience using an ERP system; NetSuite experience would be advantageous
  • Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills
  • A commercially minded, organised and proactive approach
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Previous team leadership or people management experience
  • Experience with demand/production planning, MRP, CIPS or S&OP would be advantageous
