Supply Chain Manager

Amazon's offsite yard program is growing fast, and we need a Supply Chain Manager to help us keep pace. As trailer fleet volumes and site capacity demands increase, our team secures and operates temporary offsite yards that give fulfillment and sort center operations the extra space they need. In this role, you will manage vendor relationships, drive safety and quality improvements, reduce trailer dwell times, and ensure legal compliance across a growing portfolio of offsite locations. You will partner with procurement, site operations, and regional leadership to design lean processes and apply Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools that make the work faster and smarter. If you are a resourceful problem-solver who enjoys balancing hands-on execution with program-level thinking, this is your opportunity to make a visible impact at Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of offsite yard rentals — from identifying capacity needs and evaluating vendor proposals to negotiating contracts and overseeing day-to-day site operations.
  • Collaborate with fulfillment center, sort center, and procurement teams to align offsite yard capacity with network demand, reducing trailer dwell times and improving operational throughput.
  • Drive safety, quality, and legal compliance at offsite locations by conducting audits, analyzing incident data, and implementing corrective actions with vendor partners.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators and reporting mechanisms that keep processes auditable and decisions data-driven, presenting updates in Weekly Business Reviews.
  • Apply lean methodology and GenAI tools to streamline workflows, identify process gaps, and accelerate improvements across the offsite yard program.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A day in the life

You start the morning checking yard utilization dashboards and flagging any capacity shortfalls that need immediate action. Mid-morning, you join a call with a vendor partner to review safety metrics and align on corrective actions. After lunch, you collaborate with procurement on a new lease proposal, then spend time refining a process improvement using GenAI to speed up reporting. You close the day syncing with site operations leads to confirm upcoming yard needs and preparing your weekly review materials.
