We're expanding our Supply Chain - System Optimisation team at Morrisons. Do you want to influence our long-term growth and success?
Together, we tackle business challenges, enhance our performance and unlock the true potential of our data to drive forward the supply chain function. We have exciting opportunities to join an expanding area of the business and play a pivotal role to create great availability to our existing and new customers. This role has a heavy influence on the future of Morrisons’ supply chain, you'll be working at a fast pace at the heart of decision making, using data and influence to make improvement and change!
As a member of our team, you will lead on building business rules-based algorithmic approaches to increase the accuracy, automation, and intelligence of settings and forecasts. You will own the project plan and timelines, manage risks and issues, and champion the project vision and outcomes.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leadership: Leading, motivating, and coaching team members to drive technical competence and functional knowledge.
- Strategic Planning: Playing a pivotal role in creating the system development plan and dictating development priorities aligned with company objectives.
- Expert Oversight: Acting as an expert across store ordering, supplier ordering, demand forecasting, and pricing.
- Stakeholder Influence: Presenting ideas and investment requirements to senior stakeholders and creating project plans for "right first time" implementation.
- Operational Excellence: Validating and managing forecast improvement developments to deliver availability and maximise efficiency while minimising stock and markdowns.
- Internal Conscience: Striking the balance between quality model development and diminishing returns to ensure business-focused solutions.

About You
So that you are set for success, we are looking for self-starters who are exceptional communicators with the ability to influence at all levels. You will work as part of a versatile team with a can-do culture, so it’s important that you are tenacious and strive for excellence.
We are also looking for the following:
- Proven Leadership: Experience in shaping and developing strategy and translating it into operational delivery.
- Advanced Technical Skills: Strength in all areas of process, people, and data, including a proficient level of SQL and data manipulation tools.
- Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of all aspects of food supply chain and operational mechanics.
- Change Management: Experience implementing change into an operation and the ability to lead stakeholders through the change curve.
- Problem Solving: Ability to provide "out of the box" thinking and creative problem-solving to solve complex business problems.

About The Team
Feeding the Nation and making sure people can get the food they need wouldn't be possible without our incredible supply chain. Our team of six covers System Optimisation, providing the platform for Morrisons to operate a World Class Supply Chain across all stores. You will work closely with our Supply Chain Operations and Technology functions, along with third-party providers (like BlueYonder), data scientists, and solutions architects.
