Are you an experienced Supply Chain leader within the FMCG industry?

Do you have a proven track record of leading end to end supply chains including procurement and all planning areas?

Are you operationally focused with the ability to drive efficiencies and support an FMCG business through transformation and growth?

MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading food business on the search for a Supply Chain Manager. This is a PERM role based in Sunderland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the complete supply chain from raw material procurement through to customer delivery.
  • Continuously improve service levels, efficiency, stock availability, and supply chain performance.
  • Build strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
  • Own supply and demand planning, ensuring production is aligned with customer requirements.
  • Manage stock levels and minimize both shortages and unnecessary waste.
  • Manage the movement of finished products from the factory through to customers and retail distribution centers/stores.
  • Manage retailer forecasts, orders, delivery requirements, and changes in demand.
  • Establish and monitor key supply chain KPIs, including OTIF, stock availability, waste, forecast accuracy, supplier performance, and logistics costs.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in an end-to-end supply chain management role.
  • Significant experience within food manufacturing– essential.
  • Experience managing supply chains serving major UK retailers.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, demand planning, production planning, stock management, and logistics.
  • Experience managing raw material suppliers and third-party logistics providers.
  • A strong understanding of OTIF, service levels, waste, stock, and supply chain costs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills.
  • A hands-on approach – someone who is prepared to get into the detail and personally resolve issues rather than simply delegate them.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
