Supply Chain Manager – Transformation

Northamptonshire | Hybrid – 3 Days On-Site | £80,000 + Package

Are you an experienced Supply Chain Manager looking for the opportunity to take ownership of a critical manufacturing supply chain while playing a central role in a wider global transformation?

We are partnering with an established international manufacturing organisation undergoing a significant transformation of its global supply chain. Historically, its manufacturing sites have operated with a high degree of independence, and the business is now investing in stronger processes, greater consistency and improved supply chain capability across its international network.

This position will take ownership of the UK supply chain, while also providing significant scope to transform processes, improve performance and build capability.

The UK operation manufactures products for both external customers and other sites within the international network, making effective planning, inventory management and coordination across the wider supply chain particularly important. The role will lead a team of approximately 11 and take ownership of inventory of around £5m.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Lead the end-to-end supply chain operation for a strategically important UK manufacturing site.
  • Own the site's S&OE process and support the development and execution of S&OP across the wider organisation.
  • Lead demand and supply planning, balancing customer requirements, manufacturing capability, inventory, capacity and cost.
  • Optimise inventory, working capital, service levels and overall supply chain cost.
  • Identify gaps in existing processes and introduce more robust, scalable ways of working.
  • Lead supply chain transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, rather than simply maintaining established processes.
  • Manage supply risks, constraints and recovery plans across a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Commercial, Procurement, Logistics and Finance to improve cross-functional planning and decision-making.
  • Lead, coach and develop the existing supply chain team, building capability and creating a high-performance culture.

Required Experience:

  • An experienced Supply Chain Manager with a strong background in manufacturing and a combination of operational and transformation experience.
  • Ideally 6–10+ years of supply chain experience, with strong knowledge of planning, S&OP/S&OE, inventory optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • International or multi-site experience, with the ability to operate effectively within a matrix organisation and influence stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • A track record of working successfully in ambiguous and evolving environments, identifying gaps and implementing improved processes and ways of working.
  • Experience within chemicals, process manufacturing or a related manufacturing environment would be advantageous, although broader manufacturing backgrounds will be considered.
  • Experience managing a genuine end-to-end manufacturing supply chain, where physical products are produced and moved through a complex network.
  • Exposure to global S&OP, lean supply chain management and change/transformation programmes would be highly valuable.
  • A driven, dynamic and proactive leadership style, with the ambition to improve supply chain capability rather than simply manage an established operation.
