Supply Chain Manager
Peterborough Area | c.£58,000 | Monday to Friday | 5% employer pension contribution
You know that moment when the production plan looks fine on a spreadsheet, but the factory has a different idea?
A material arrives late. Warehouse space gets tight. Priorities change. Suddenly, five departments are working to five different versions of the plan.
This food manufacturer wants a Supply Chain Manager who can get everyone working from the same one.
You’ll report to the Site General Manager and lead the teams responsible for planning, scheduling and warehousing. The brief is to make the operation more predictable: spot constraints earlier, improve stock control, build a plan the factory can deliver and give your team the structure to keep improving it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
