Key Responsibilities
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the supply chain function, including control of planning, operational buying and logistics across Cardrew and Falmouth.
You will also work in close collaboration with the central Global Supply Chain team to ensure alignment with process standardisation.
Reporting to the General Manager, the main remit for this role is to lead the Supply Chain activities of the business, ensuring operational needs are met, considering the price, quality and delivery whilst ensuring continuity of supply and best practice.
- Lead, enhance and develop all aspects of the two manufacturing units supply chain performance; providing strategic insight to the senior leadership team and other key stakeholders as required.

Key Accountabilities
- Develop SMART objectives for and with team colleagues and departments to aid business performance and the ability to consistently meet customer demands, measuring achievement of performance targets, whilst utilising and promoting high levels of engagement with Self Directed Teams across your areas of responsibility.
- Lead the monthly Site S&OP process, ensuring alignment of Demand, Supply, Inventory, Capacity and Financial plans with Sales, Finance and Strategic Business Development. Develop a robust supply plan that supports customer demand and the Global Supply Chain strategy.
- Be accountable for achieving agreed OTTC and Finished Goods inventory targets. Where performance falls below agreed thresholds, develop and execute recovery plans, providing regular progress updates through the Global Supply Chain governance process.
- Be responsible for ensuring a positive safety culture in areas of responsibility, ensuring that the health, safety and wellbeing of all personnel is the number one priority.
- Collaborate with the Head of Global Supply Chain to implement and sustain global planning standards, inventory policies, KPI governance and continuous improvement initiatives. Actively contribute to cross-site standardisation and the development of a resilient end-to-end Supply Chain network.
- You will build effective relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers, overseeing and ensuring best practice is maintained throughout the supply chain.
- You will lead and improve supplier performance in terms of Service Level, Lead Time, cost, stock level, etc, and be responsible for annual stock counts during the financial year.
- You will ensure through effective planning that the right levels of inventory are established, maintained, and flexed to meet current and future operational/project needs.
- You will develop the materials, stock control and handling processes to gain improvements in efficiency and control.
- Lead the internal movement of materials and finished goods, developing logistics capabilities to support continued growth and development.
- You will lead and deliver D365 FO (ERP) implementation and roll out.
- Ensure that supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards and are compliant with internal policies including Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy and the Group Management Code.
- Champion and have oversight in New Product Development Projects to ensure viable delivery of supply chain for new materials.
- Drive environmental and sustainability improvements; identify how Supply Chain will contribute to the success of the One Planet strategy, developing an implementation plan to ensure its achievement.

Skills/Experience
- You have demonstrable experience working as a Senior Supply Chain Manager or equivalent (e.g. Purchasing/Sourcing Manager & Planning).
- You will have significant experience in maintaining effective and productive relationships with external suppliers.
- You will have robust commercial and financial awareness with strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- You will be analytical and have the ability to interpret data to provide strategic and tactical solutions.
- You will be a positive, self-managing and highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast paced, innovative environment with a flexible and proactive nature.
- You will be a strong problem-solver who is able to identify and deliver priorities in a decisive manner.
- You will have demonstrable experience in managing and leading a team of people to achieve shared objectives.
- You will be CIPS qualified to a minimum of level 5 or hold equivalent experience.
