Job Description
Operating daily from the NELFT Supply Chain Distribution Centre in Brentwood, Essex, you will provide comprehensive and confidential support to the Supply Chain Business Partner, covering all aspects of administrative, organisational and project management support to ensure the smooth running of the Supply Chain Distribution Centre operations, systems and processes.
The post holder will be responsible for the effective management of Supply Chain services in relation to fleet vehicle management, health & safety and movement of materials from source to all areas currently serviced.
You must have knowledge of vehicle fleet management and routing, awareness warehouse health & safety processes, be trained in the use of electronic manual handling equipment, knowledge of health & safety risk assessment processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive and confidential support to the Supply Chain Business Partner, covering all aspects of administrative, organisational and project management support to ensure the smooth running of the Supply Chain Distribution Centre operations, systems and processes.
- Be responsible for the effective management of Supply Chain services in relation to fleet vehicle management, health & safety, and movement of materials from source to all areas currently serviced.
- Be responsible for ensuring services are managed professionally and making suggestions for improvement, implementing new techniques or procedures, organising work schedules and manpower, developing new work models and training staff to carry out their duties, in addition to managing personal development to achieve standards as required by national and trust guidelines.
- Use reason, intellect and judgement to work on their own initiative, be able to prioritise their own workload whilst responding to interruptions, and deal with matters on behalf of the Supply Chain Business Partner.
- Consistently deliver a client-focused service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships. This will involve dealing with general queries from colleagues/members of the public, either face to face, over the phone and overseeing administrative systems and processes.
