Supply Chain Planner
Are you a proactive, analytical planner who enjoys balancing customer demand, supplier performance, and stock availability? We’re looking for an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join our client in Coventry. This is a full-time office-based role paying circa £40k - £50k per year plus benefits.
You will be taking ownership of an allocated product, supplier, or business portfolio within a busy distribution and manufacturing environment. You’ll have the opportunity to take real ownership of your portfolio, work collaboratively across the business, and contribute directly to product availability, inventory performance, and customer satisfaction.
Using Slim4 (planning tool) and ERP systems, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate forecasts, optimising inventory, supporting replenishment, and ensuring the right products are available at the right time. Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, you’ll identify potential supply issues early, make informed planning decisions, and help drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and making a tangible difference to business performance.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in demand planning, forecasting, and purchase order management within a distribution, manufacturing, or product-led business.
- Experience using Slim4 and/or ERP systems, with an understanding of planning parameters, replenishment, and inventory management.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret forecasts, stock data, and supplier performance.
- A proactive approach to identifying risks, resolving issues, and following actions through to completion.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and recurring deadlines.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail when working with data, purchase orders, and planning records.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
