Nynas Bitumen Business in UK is Looking for a Supply Chain Planner

Nynas Bitumen business in UK is looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join the team in Eastham.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our UK supply chain. As part of a collaborative and international organisation, you will work closely with colleagues across the UK business and with supply chain teams in Stockholm, helping to deliver reliable product availability and continuous operational improvement.

About the Role

As Supply Chain Planner, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating supply chain activities across the UK bitumen operation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, hauliers, and shipping partners to ensure efficient product flow and high service levels.

This is an office-based position located in Eastham, reporting to the UK Supply Chain Manager, Bitumen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate depot replenishment activities to ensure product availability and efficient supply chain performance.
  • Manage day-to-day communication and coordination with third-party suppliers.
  • Nominate vessels and collaborate closely with our in-house shipping department to support marine supply requirements.
  • Collect and consolidate forecast data, providing accurate planning inputs to the Supply Chain team in Stockholm.
  • Maintain and update data in our ERP system (JDE), including invoice verification and approval for bulk shipments, as well as month-end mass balance reporting.
  • Monitor, analyse and report key supply chain performance metrics, including KPIs and demurrage.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and actively contribute to increasing supply chain efficiency.
  • Liaise with hauliers regarding stock levels, delivery schedules, and depot availability to ensure a reliable and responsive supply chain.

About You

You are a structured and analytical professional who enjoys solving problems, working with data, and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are motivated by finding ways to improve processes and performance. You have a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Requirements Needed for the Position:

  • Previous experience in supply chain planning, logistics, operations, or a related field within an industrial environment.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience of working with JDE/ERP systems is beneficial.
  • Logical and data-driven approach, with the ability to interpret and act on supply chain information.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and service-oriented mindset.
  • Driving license.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe as required.
