Job Description – OMP Demand Planning Functional Consultant
Role:
OMP Demand Planning Functional Consultant
We are seeking an experienced OMP Demand Planning Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Forecasting, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, designing and configuring OMP planning solutions, and supporting end-to-end implementation initiatives. The role will focus on improving demand forecast accuracy, optimizing planning processes, and driving overall supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze business requirements related to Demand Planning, Demand Forecasting, S&OP, and Supply Chain Planning.
- Configure and implement OMP Demand Planning solutions based on business and customer requirements.
- Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to understand existing planning processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design and support forecasting models and demand planning processes aligned with business objectives.
- Develop functional specifications, process flows, and business process documentation.
- Support integration of OMP with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics.
- Perform solution testing, UAT support, defect analysis and resolution, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with technical teams on data migration, system interfaces, integrations, and reporting requirements.
- Provide functional support throughout the end-to-end OMP implementation lifecycle.
- Train planners, business users, and super users on OMP functionalities and planning processes.
- Work closely with business and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of planning solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy, planning efficiency, and supply chain performance.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an OMP Functional Consultant / OMP Consultant.
- Strong hands-on experience with OMP Demand Planning.
- Strong understanding of Demand Planning and Demand Forecasting processes.
- Solid knowledge of Supply Chain Planning.
- Experience with S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning).
- Experience in OMP configuration and implementation.
- Strong experience in gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Experience conducting business workshops and stakeholder discussions.
- Hands-on experience with UAT, testing, defect resolution, and deployment.
- Understanding of integration with SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is desirable.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
