Territory: Montana, Boise (east into Montana), Northern Wyoming
Cardinal Health’s Global Medical Products and Distribution (“GMPD”) segment, focuses on U.S. and International Products and Distribution businesses. We offer industry expertise and an expanding portfolio of safe, effective medical products that improve quality, manage costs and reduce complexity. Cardinal Health Medical Distribution Solutions team has the strategic knowledge and expertise to understand what’s happening at critical points in the supply chain. We help find bottlenecks, find options and contingencies, and work proactively to prevent disruptions. Job Summary
The Supply Chain Sales Executive (SCSE) is accountable for maximizing the full potential of assigned customer accounts by driving coordinated growth across distribution, products, and solutions. This role leads a cross-functional account team, aligning priorities, resources, and actions to deliver measurable value for both the customer and Cardinal Health.
The SCSE operates as the account leader, responsible for setting strategy, prioritizing opportunities using data, and ensuring disciplined execution across teams. Success in this role requires strong leadership in a matrixed environment, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to translate insights into action.
Key Responsibilities
Account Strategy & Growth
- Define and continuously refine account strategy and full potential, leveraging data, analytics, and market insights to identify and prioritize growth opportunities
- Translate strategy into a clear, actionable account roadmap with measurable goals and defined ownership
- Drive revenue growth, retention, and competitive conversion within assigned territory
- Maintain deep understanding of healthcare supply chain trends, customer economics, and competitive landscape
Cross-Functional Leadership (Account Operating Unit)
- Lead a cross-functional account team across sales, product, distribution, and customer engagement to ensure aligned execution
- Establish shared priorities and ensure team members execute against account strategy—not individual objectives
- Assign clear ownership for opportunities and track progress to completion
- Foster strong collaboration across internal stakeholders to deliver seamless customer experiences

Customer Engagement & Value Creation
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key stakeholders, including supply chain, clinical, financial, and procurement leaders
- Identify and deliver solutions that drive cost savings, standardization, and operational efficiency
- Lead customer business reviews, presenting insights, performance metrics, and actionable recommendations
- Represent Cardinal Health in customer meetings, industry events, and strategic discussions
Operational Excellence & Execution
- Maintain a disciplined approach to opportunity management, ensuring accurate pipeline tracking and progression in CRM systems
- Use data to evaluate performance, guide decisions, and adjust strategy as needed
- Lead structured account planning and performance reviews with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure timely completion of all administrative and compliance requirements
Decision-Making & Prioritization
- Bring forward key decisions, using data to evaluate tradeoffs and prioritize highest-impact actions
- Balance customer needs with business objectives across product, distribution, and service dimensions
- Escalate issues appropriately when cross-functional alignment or business impact requires it
Issue Identification & Resolution
- Identify systemic issues impacting account performance and drive resolution through appropriate stakeholders
- Use structured problem-solving approaches to address root causes and prevent recurrence
- Ensure accountability for resolution without absorbing operational responsibilities outside the role
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare sales, supply chain, or related field
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment without direct authority
- Strong business and financial acumen, including understanding of healthcare economics
- Demonstrated success in strategic account management and complex deal execution
- Experience using data and analytics to inform decisions and prioritize opportunities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Ability to travel approximately 30%
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet customer/vendor credentialing requirements

Anticipated pay range: $173,600 - $199,770 (includes targeted variable pay)
