About the Role

We're always on the lookout for Supply Chain Specialists to join our Core Grocery team at Morrisons. Do you want to be part of our growth and success?

Together, we tackle business challenges, enhance our performance and unlock the true potential of our data to drive forward the supply chain function.

We have exciting opportunities to join an expanding area of the business and play a pivotal role to create great availability to our existing and new customers.

These roles are fast-paced and you'll be at the heart of decision-making, using data and influence to make improvements and changes!

As a member of our team, you will take ownership for outstanding availability at store, depot, and item level in designated product categories whilst delivering against stock and waste targets to minimize cash impacts to the business. You will also be actively participating in running and improving the business team.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Working with the business team to ensure systems data is input in a timely manner to ensure no impact to availability at a Group level
  • Owning end to end product, data, and performance for their categories
  • Owning the escalations at the right time where opportunities/risks arise in regards to product flow
  • Leading the category availability of product flow measures within the business team
  • Working with business teams on strategic improvements for their categories such as:
    • Case size optimising
    • Lead time optimization
    • Waste improvement
    • End to end productivity
    • Lowest cost to serve
    • Exception management

Develop strong collaborative relationships with the full Business Team who work on the category to agree the optimum levels of products to meet sales demand

About You

So that you are set for success, we are looking for self-starters, who are exceptional communicators with the ability to influence at all levels. You will work as part of a versatile team with a can-do culture, so it’s important that you are tenacious and strive for excellence. We're looking for people who are enthusiastic and ready to make a difference!

We are also looking for the following:

  • Strong knowledge of end to end stock flow and processes, from supplier to end customer
  • Good understanding of Retail processes
  • Strong Data analysis
  • Strong knowledge of commercial/financial data
  • Used to working with and understanding sometimes complex data
  • Used to communicating at multiple levels within a business or organisation
  • Working within a supply chain environment or a role where they have experienced accountability for the flow of stock
  • Ability to use technical systems
  • Project management skills
