Our purpose is to deliver energy to the world, today and tomorrow. For over 100 years, bp has focused on discovering, developing, and producing oil and gas in the nations where we operate. We are one of the few companies globally that can provide governments and customers with an integrated energy offering. Delivering our strategy sustainably is fundamental to achieving our ambition to be a net zero company by 2050 or sooner.
About the role
The Supply Coordinator reports to the Regional Biofuels Manager, UK and is responsible for leading UK biofuels compliance activities, ensuring delivery of best-in-class compliance with the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation, and providing subject matter expertise to support commercial optimisation and contract negotiations. This is a dynamic role, enabling the building of commercial acumen in the fascinating and ever-evolving world of biofuels and low carbon, working truly cross-business to explore, develop and deliver in the low carbon space as we strive for net zero by 2050. Based at the centre of UK Supply and Trading compliance activities, you will play a key role in helping the business respond to a rapidly evolving market.
In this role you will
- Deliver best in class compliance with the UK Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation at lowest cost to maximise the margin for the business.
- Support negotiation of best-in-class biofuel pricing optionality and margin opportunity in third party hydrocarbon supply contracts, and providing Subject Matter Expert input ensuring opportunities are compliant and aligned with bp's compliance strategy.
- Support the evaluation and optimisation of inland third-party supply contracts by providing bio compliance, regulatory and value insights, working closely with trading bench and commercial teams to maximise margin and manage compliance and pricing risks.
- Lead the development and execution of bp's UK bio compliance strategy and compliance recipe recommendations; manage planning, reporting, advocacy, audits and government consultations; and act as bp's primary interface with relevant regulatory authorities on biofuels compliance matters.
- Maintain bpOUK's ISCC certification and Zemo RFAS membership by leading the arrangement and completion of the annual audit process.
- Analyse performance of the UK Inland biofuels business - delivering monthly financial forecasting versus Plan and assessment of opportunities and vulnerabilities, working with Finance to ensure full understanding of performance drivers and any unexpected deviations.
- Support the digitalisation agenda, providing Subject Matter Expert input, and drive simplification of processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
