Supply Planner - 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Howdens is looking for a Supply Planner on a 12-month fixed-term contract to help ensure the right products are available at the right time, supporting demand across our nationwide depot network while balancing inventory, availability and service performance. This role focuses on our finished goods portfolio, with opportunities to work across a diverse supplier base and occasional travel as part of the role.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Supply Planner, you'll play a key role in keeping our supply chain running smoothly. Working closely with Planning Managers and colleagues across Commercial, Quality and Logistics, you'll help ensure products are available when and where they're needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing inventory and supply plans for finished goods across a large product portfolio.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable product availability.
- Monitoring sales demand and responding to changing business requirements.
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to balance service, stock and cost objectives.
- Identifying opportunities to improve supply chain performance and supplier flexibility.
- Supporting business growth by maintaining inventory levels across a complex and fast-moving supply network.
You'll join a supportive team of 35 Supply Chain and Logistics professionals, where knowledge sharing, development and continuous improvement are part of everyday life.

What We're Looking For
We're open to candidates at different stages of their career. You may already be working in supply planning, inventory management or a similar role and be ready to hit the ground running. Alternatively, you may have broader supply chain experience and be looking for an opportunity to develop within a planning environment.
You'll bring:
- Experience within a supply chain, planning, logistics, purchasing or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence working with data and IT systems, ideally including SAP/APO or similar planning tools.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and work collaboratively across teams.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- A desire to learn, develop and grow your career within Supply Chain.
