SUPPLY PLANNER
In this role, it is your responsibility to ensure the on-time delivery of materials, maintaining continuous production in line with the site production plan. To effectively manage suppliers balancing inventory targets and stock out risks. You would also be the primary point of contact with suppliers, building key relationships to ensure positive supplier performance. Work within the supply chain team supporting team members with material availability queries.

Delivery
- Monitoring Use SAP S/4 Hana to monitor inbound delivery against the planned production.
Expediting
- Highlight any supply risks and carry out mitigating actions
Inventory Management
- Work with the supply chain team to achieve inventory KPI’s by pulling forward, delaying or cancelling PO’s as required
Logistics
- Manage freight partners, resolving issues related to inbound logistics
- Log and report express freight costs
Supplier Management
- On board new suppliers, monitor supplier performance
Key Competencies
- Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably high volume automotive.
- Previous experience using SAP S/4 Hana Desirable
- Experience & understanding of global logistics and supply chains.
- Good communicator, especially contacting suppliers using the telephone/email across different cultures.
- Comfortable with contacting senior people at suppliers to control or expedite deliveries.
- Comfortable negotiating with suppliers in relation to expediting or cancellations
- Ability to deal with high pressure situations such as urgent deliveries relating to line stoppages
- Appreciation of manufacturing processes.
- Experience working within an automotive supply chain
- Appreciation of warehousing processes.
- Work positively within a team environment to get the best solution.
- Comfortable running meetings at a team level
- Strong analytical skills
- Good Microsoft excel skills
- PC Literate.

Salary: starting from 28k GBP
