Supply Planning Manager
We are looking for a Supply Planning Manager to lead the supply planning process, ensuring product availability while balancing inventory, capacity, cost, and service levels. The role will work closely with Demand Planning, Operations, Procurement, Commercial, suppliers, and co-manufacturing partners to translate demand into executable supply plans, proactively manage constraints, and ensure a reliable and resilient supply network.

Description
- Own the end-to-end supply and production planning process, translating demand forecasts into accurate and executable supply plans.
- Lead capacity planning, identifying bottlenecks, constraints, and future capacity requirements across internal and external manufacturing.
- Manage and coordinate production plans with suppliers and co-manufacturing partners, ensuring alignment on capacity, lead times, production schedules, and inventory requirements.
- Proactively identify supply risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Balance service levels, inventory, working capital, capacity, and cost when making supply decisions.
- Work closely with Procurement and Operations to manage supplier performance, supply constraints, and production disruptions.
- Partner with Demand Planning, Commercial, Finance, and Operations as part of the S&OP / planning process, clearly communicating risks, trade-offs, and opportunities.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and co-manufacturing partners, influencing without direct authority.
- Drive continuous improvement across planning processes, systems, and ways of working.
- Provide clear analysis and recommendations to support business growth, new product launches, and changes in the supply network.

Profile
A successful Supply Planning Manager should have:
- Proven experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, or Supply Chain Planning, ideally within food, FMCG, or a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of capacity planning, production scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain constraints.
- Experience managing suppliers and/or co-manufacturing partners, with the ability to build strong relationships and drive accountability.
- Experience working cross-functionally within an S&OP / IBP environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into clear actions and decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly with external partners and senior stakeholders.
- Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Experience with ERP/MRP and supply planning systems; strong Excel/data analysis skills.

Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £70,000 to £80,000, dependent on the level of experience.
