Supply Teacher - Mexborough - Education and Training

Are you a passionate Supply Teacher looking for flexible teaching opportunities across Mexborough?

At Academics, we act as an agency and are recruiting a Supply Teacher to work on a temporary, flexible, ongoing supply basis across a large variety of secondary schools throughout Mexborough.

This role will provide a platform for you to share your passion for Supply with secondary students at a variety of schools across while also offering you the opportunity to undertake general secondary cover to share your passion for other subjects where applicable.

Position: Supply Teacher

Location: Mexborough

Contract: Temp, Flexible Ongoing Supply

Pay: £140-£195 per day (Dependent on experience, training, qualifications, paid via PAYE - No umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start date: ASAP

Sector: Education and Training

The Role:

While working as an Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging Supply lessons across KS3 & KS4, driving pupils to build their literary knowledge, critical thinking and analytical skills, while building the confidence to communicate their ideas effectively.

The role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECT) who are looking for flexible, temporary, ongoing work. There may also be opportunities to undertake general secondary cover across a variety of schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Supply Lessons across KS3 & KS4
  • Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines
  • Support pupils progress and engagement
  • Adapt learning to meet the needs of different pupils
  • Follow school planning and curriculum expectations
  • Provide general secondary cover when required

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching Supply, or relevant secondary teaching experience
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A flexible and adaptable approach
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
  • A passion for education and training
