Daily Supply Teaching Assistant

Location: Sutton, London

Salary: £93 - £105 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.

Contract: Temporary daily supply; working days agreed for each booking

Start date: 05/10/2026

Hours: Term time - 8:30 - 3:30 - school day

If you enjoy supporting children and adapting to different classrooms, daily supply can offer useful variety. Transparency Education is recruiting a Daily Supply Teaching Assistant for school cover in Sutton.

You will work under the class teacher’s direction, helping pupils get started, stay involved, and complete learning activities. Assignments may include general classroom support, small-group work, or support for pupils with additional needs, matched to your experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils during lessons and practical activities
  • Explain tasks again and help children use classroom resources
  • Work with individuals or small groups as directed
  • Reinforce positive behaviour and encourage independence
  • Help with transitions, classroom preparation, and tidying
  • Pass relevant observations to the class teacher before leaving
