Support Account Manager (Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months, Full Time)

We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Support Account Manager to join our Enterprise Sales team at KCOM.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, delivering outstanding customer service and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced commercial environment. Working alongside our Enterprise Account Managers, you'll play a key role in supporting customer requests, service changes, contract renewals and technology migrations, helping to ensure a seamless experience for our business customers.

You'll act as a central point of coordination between customers and internal teams, ensuring requests are progressed efficiently, documentation is accurate, and customer outcomes remain front and centre.

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum dependant on experience

Location: Carr Lane, Hull, with hybrid working (minimum 2 office days per week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Enterprise Account Managers with the day-to-day management of customer requests and requirements.
  • Prepare accurate quotations for technology changes, service migrations, contract renewals and other customer needs.
  • Manage low and non-revenue-generating orders and activities, ensuring timely completion and excellent customer service.
  • Attend customer meetings where required to understand, support and coordinate customer requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation, review and completion of contracts and associated documentation.
  • Coordinate customer service migrations and technology changes, working closely with internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Liaise with customers and stakeholders to progress orders, provide updates and resolve queries.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer activity, quotations, contracts and orders.
  • Identify and escalate potential risks, issues or delays to ensure customer expectations are managed effectively.
  • Provide essential administrative and operational support, enabling Account Managers to focus on strategic customer growth opportunities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of KCOM's products, services and customer requirements to deliver an effective support function.

Candidate Requirements

We're looking for an organised and commercially aware individual who enjoys working collaboratively and delivering excellent customer experiences.

You'll Ideally Have

  • Experience in an account support, sales support, customer service, account management or administrative role.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both customers and colleagues.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience preparing quotations, contracts, orders or other customer documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • The ability to problem solve, identify risks and proactively follow through on actions.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and experience of CRM or business systems.
  • A customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering positive outcomes.

Experience within telecommunications, technology, connectivity or managed services environments would be advantageous but is not essential.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is motivated, adaptable and committed to delivering an exceptional experience for our customers while supporting the success of the wider Enterprise Sales team.
