Support Companion / Personal Assistant
Supporting a Bright Woman needing support to live Independently in her own home.
Location: Stevenston
Hours: 5 hours per week on a Friday as arranged with Employer
Rate of Pay: £14.59 per hour
About The Role
This is not your standard care role. This position is about doing life alongside a bright, funny 33-year-old woman, helping her live independently in her own home and stay connected to her community.
We are looking for someone to build a genuine connection, someone who can chat, joke, share experiences, and provide a safe, supportive environment. Some days are full of fun and getting out and about; other days are quieter and require a more relaxed pace. We need a companion who can comfortably go with the flow and take things in their stride.

What You Will Do
You will spend quality time together both at home and out in the local community to provide companionship. Your role involves supporting her independence by encouraging her confidence, helping her try new things, and keeping her socially connected and managing her home.
The Kind of Person We Are Looking For
Your personality and values matter much more than a long care CV. Experience in support work is helpful but not essential, as full training is provided.
You will be a great fit if you are naturally easy-going, good-humoured, and enjoy a laugh. We need someone calm and steady who remains composed and confident in unpredictable situations or if someone is unwell. You should be patient and respectful without being patronising, and you must be comfortable chatting naturally using clear, direct language.

Requirements & Terms
Applicants must provide two up-to-date references, including at least one from a current or previous employer. A new PVG enhanced disclosure check is required prior to starting, with the full cost covered by the employer via SDS funds. This post includes a 6-month probationary period, during which a mutual 1-week notice period applies to either party.
