Role: Life Science Support Coordinator
Job Type: 12 months fixed term contract (please note there is a possibility that a permanent job opening might become available after the initial 12 months has been completed)
Location: Glasgow, Clydebank
Hours: 35 hours, Monday to Friday
Salary: From £25,000

Job Description
We're looking for an Outsourced Support Coordinator to join our Health & Nutrition team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys managing multiple tasks, working with a variety of stakeholders, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

You don't need previous laboratory experience to be successful. We're looking for someone with excellent organisation, communication, and coordination skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll act as the link between clients, project managers, and specialist external laboratories, helping to coordinate outsourced testing projects from start to finish.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating testing projects and monitoring progress against timelines.
- Arranging the shipment of samples to external laboratories.
- Ensuring documentation, permits, and records are accurate and completed on time.
- Keeping clients and internal teams updated on project status.
- Reviewing reports and results for completeness and accuracy.
- Managing purchase orders and supporting billing activities.
- Maintaining schedules and helping ensure projects are delivered to deadlines.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a highly organised and proactive individual (ideally degree qualified in a Scientific discipline) who enjoys managing multiple priorities, coordinating activities, and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues. This role could suit candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, including scientific support, administration, customer service, logistics, healthcare, project support, quality, or compliance.
You'll bring:
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Confidence working with data, documentation, and IT systems.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
